Willette & Guerra, L.L.P., utilizes a file assignment process which involves a primary and secondary attorney assigned to every file.  The primary attorney with the experience commensurate with the complexity of the case, will usually handle the litigation.  The secondary attorney is assigned to be available to help the primary attorney should any scheduling conflicts arise or should it be more economical and feasible for an associate or junior associate attorney to handle particular matters, as opposed to the primary attorney.  Two attorneys will not attend a hearing, deposition, etc. unless it has been specifically approved.  The secondary attorney will very likely work on the file but,  will not duplicate time and services performed by the primary attorney.

Willette & Guerra, L.L.P., primarily handles personal injury litigation involving damages ranging from serious injury and death to simple back strains and soft tissue injuries.  Areas of practice include product liability, motor vehicle accidents, construction accidents, medical malpractice, workers compensation, and premises liability. The firm also has extensive experience in handling employment law cases (including sexual harassment, age discrimination, disability discrimination, worker's comp retaliation, Whistleblower's Act, libel and slander, breach of contract, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and assault and battery claims), civil rights cases (including alleged violations of the First, Fourth and Fourteenth Amendments, and all other state and federal constitutional law claims), and construction defect cases.  In addition, the firm represents numerous school districts, cities, counties, and other governmental entities in both Texas Tort Claims Act and federal and state constitutional cases.  The firm’s clients include insurance carriers and risk pools, as well as self-insured corporations.
