Elizabeth M. García is a native Californian who grew up in Los Angeles. Elizabeth graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2003 with a B.A. degree in Psychology and a minor focus in Anthropology. Afterwards, Elizabeth went to Seattle University School of Law where she was named a Puget Sound Area Minority Clerkship Scholar interning with the law firm of Davis Wright Tremaine. At the end of her second year, Elizabeth worked for Safeco Insurance in-house counsel and enjoyed it so much that she continued working for Safeco throughout her third year of law school. Elizabeth graduated from law school cum laude in 2006. Before joining the firm, Elizabeth worked for Patterson Buchanan, a prominent Seattle-based law firm. Prior to that, Elizabeth clerked for the Honorable C.C. Bridgewater at the Washington State Court of Appeal, Division II. Elizabeth is admitted to practice in the states of Washington and Texas.
Elizabeth is active in the Hidalgo County Young Lawyer’s Association. While in Washington, Elizabeth served on the Executive Board for the Latina/o Bar Association of Washington and continues to remain quite active in the Latino community. Her professional memberships include the Latina/o Bar Association of Washington, Hispanic National Bar Association, American Bar Association, Hidalgo County Bar Association, and Washington Defense Trial Lawyers. Elizabeth also served as a pro bono attorney with the King County Bar Association Family Mentor Program.
Elizabeth’s practice deals with all aspects of civil defense work, with a primary focus on insurance defense.
